  • Available with threading conveyors

Sewing Machine:

Litzler offers many options on sewing machines.

  • Manual and semi manual Litzler-Foudy sewing machines for low cost options
  • Semi automatic and fully automatic machines from well-known suppliers

Feedrolls:

  • Feedrolls are used to pull the fabric from the letoff at a controlled low-tension and to fill the accumulator
  • Large diameter rubber roll uses the coefficient of friction to isolate tension

Accumulators:

Accumulators allow the machine to run continuously. Usually 2-3 minutes of accumulation are required for successful operation. Litzler machines include special features to ensure quality operation.

  • Strong frameworks to accommodate 250 kg tension loads while maintaining rigid alignment
  • Low-friction deadshaft rolls to reduce tension gain through the accumulator and easy turning
  • Energy conscious hydraulic power supplies – good hydraulic control with energy conservation in mind
  • Internal loadcell for tension monitoring – linked to LHMI system for data logging and tension alarms
  • Internal guiding and spreading on larger systems to optimize spread width and ensure quality
  • Internal bowed rolls available for gentle spreading to assist low-tension spreaders to prevent neck-down and folding

Tension stands:

Tension stands are the heart of the machine – providing stretch and tension differential across the multiple tension zones.

  • Large diameter rolls (350 mm) to withstand up to 8000 kg tension and maintain 0.00xxx mm of overall deflection
  • Driven with quiet class 10 helical gear sets with automated lubrication baths
  • Lube for life bearings reduces maintenance
  • Dual sideplate construction provides rigid and long lasting design versus fragile cast block construction
  • Sideplate construction means rolls can be easily removed for future maintenance versus total block dismantling required for other designs
  • Loadcell controlled or stretch controlled depending on process requirements

Ovens

Ovens represent the largest part of the machine and the source for the largest energy use. Litzler focuses the design on air and heat uniformity and energy efficiency.

  • Nozzles are designed for high heat transfer and uniformity
  • Special internal tapers and turning vanes are designed to move the heated air with efficiency and uniformity – uniform air and temperature is required for high quality product
  • All fans feature Variable speed drives for optimized flow and energy use for each fabric style flow
  • Optimized conservative heating systems for fast heating and environmentally conscious energy usage – Natural gas, hot oil, steam or electric heating available depending on the preferred services available at the machine site
  • Burners and gas trains follow the latest codes for purging and gas management – safety is always a priority
  • Oven access is supplied at various levels based on customer feedback for cleaning
  • Oven instrumentation is supplied to safely monitor and control the most important details for high quality fabric – monitoring RTD’s and pressure sensors are standard and non-contact web temperature sensors are available
  • Oven rolls feature the same level of deflection resistance as our tension stands and include water cooling features and in some positions special plasma release coating to prevent pickoff
  • Structural steel system is designed to use 30% less (average savings of $400,000 in China) structural steel than competing designs. Lower cost, higher strength, and faster construction with the Litzler proven design
  • Fully welded insulated panels provide leak-proof construction for energy savings and long life

Dip stations and vacuum systems

For many years the fabric dipping has required innovation. Litzler developed the No-foam dip roll configuration to combat the long-running problem of foam in the dip. The Litzler dip design reduces nearly ALL of the foam associated with tire cord dipping – also available as a retrofit to older machines.

  • Stainless steel or HDPE plastic dip tanks
  • Heavy duty scissor lift system
  • Recirculation pumps available

Vacuum:

Vacuum dewebber systems are critical to fabric quality and cost of operations. By removing the proper amount of dip from the fabric, the savvy producer can reduce expensive dip usage and reduce oven costs because there is less water to dry. Proper dip removal also keeps the ovens cleaner to allow for longer running time between cleaning requirements.

  • Stainless steel heads with adjustable lips and slots
  • 75 mm of adjustment to the fabric path
  • Variable speed drive fans for process optimization and energy savings
  • 5th generation stage 1 separator and 7th generation stage 2 separator designs

Guiding and Spreading:

  • Tire cord fabric is difficult to process. The nature of the weaves, the tension, and the high speed, the stretching and shrinking all factor into the difficulty in processing. Litzler provides accurate and fast acting guiding and spreading to keep the fabric in control at all times.
  • Guiding – guiders are used at critical positions in the process to keep it aligned in the rollers
    • Before and after accumulators
    • Before winding
    • Guiders are center guided to keep the fabric in the center of the machine
  • High Tension Spreading – Tire cord seeks to neck down under tension. The Spreaders are designed to continuously spread the fabric to the optimum width before heat setting commences???
    • High tension spreaders are located after every oven process f
    • 6-roll Litzler designs
    • Special 600 mm optical sensors to cover all fabric widths – sensors never have to be moved or adjusted
    • Includes individual plc and touch screen control integrated into master control center
  • Low Tension Spreading — used in areas for additional spreading in critical areas
    • Integral to accumulators
    • Prior to winding
    • Litzler bowed roll design
    • Special 600 mm optical sensors to cover all fabric widths – sensors never have to be moved or adjusted
    • Includes individual plc and touch screen control integrated into master control center
  • Rolliner Three Finger Spreader – Litzler engineers invented the three finger spreader in the 1950’s and patented the original device (show original patent or design from IOI)
    • The modern Rolliner Three Finger Spreader includes sophisticated linkages and servo motor control and is used directly prior to winding to spread the last millimeters of fabric for a well wound package
    • Special friction coated fingers with low drag bearings
    • Special 600 mm optical sensors to cover all fabric widths – sensors never have to be moved or adjusted
    • Includes individual plc and touch screen control integrated into master control center

Surface Winder

The surface winder is the culmination of the complete tire cord process. Speed and tension control, drying and heat setting, guiding and spreading – all systems must work in harmony to wind the final package prior to shipping to an expecting customer.
